We're not the only ones who recognize new trends in technology and church usage. The Adventist News Network has recently published a few news articles that are of specific interest to the GIEN community.

Official netAdventist Hand-over
On September 3, Elizabeth Lechleitner reported on the official transfer of usage of the netAdventist platform to the world church community. In a small ceremony, TAGnet handed over the new content platform. World church president Jan Paulsen was present to accept and the event was attended by several other key persons involved.

This is really the beginning of netAdventist3, for those who have been waiting. Stay tuned for more information.

Is Text Messaging an Issue?
As ubiquitous as it may seem to some of us, Ansel Oliver probed for responses on text messaging usage in churches, particularly during the church service itself. With kids going at it in the pews--and even a few pastors utilizing it in their sermons--the question begs to be asked: Is it really beneficial to use text messaging in church? Is it even an issue where you are?
